2. I am a United States of America citizen and I would like to make a donation to RLS Foundation. Where should I send my donation?

To receive the U.S.A. tax break you should send it to the RLS Foundation office in the U.S.A.

3. Are there opportunities to give donations in addition to my membership fee?

Yes, the work of the Foundation is supported by thousands of individuals like you. Your tax-deductible gift in any amount will help distribute information about RLS as we reach toward our goal of universal awareness. Your gift will also help fund education to help healthcare providers and patients to learn more about medications and other therapies for RLS, thereby fulfilling our goal of identifying effective treatments. And finally, your gift will support the research that will unlock the mysteries of RLS, allowing us to reach our goal of finding a cure for the millions of those affected by RLS and for future generations.

4. Are there any specific types of donations?

Yes, you are welcome to restrict your gift or allow us to use it where it is most needed. The following are the various ways you can give:

  • Education Donation: By choosing an educational donation your money will go towards educating physicians those affected by RLS about Restless Legs Syndrome.
  • Research Donation: By choosing a research donation your money will go towards RLS research.
  • Unrestricted Donation: Join the thousands of individuals who give above and beyond their membership dues. By choosing this option your contribution will go wherever money is needed within the RLS Foundation.
  • RLS Foundation Gift Membership: Give a membership to a friend or family member. Simply enter the name and address of the recipient to send them their membership.

5. May I give a donation on behalf of a loved one?

Yes, we accept Memorial and Honoraria donations. Simply indicate who you would like to recognize as well as a family member to notify (in the case of a memorial) and we will make sure they are recognized appropriately.

6. How does the RLS Foundation protect my personal information?

If you share your credit card number with us in order to purchase an item or to make a donation, your credit card number and identifying information is stored in a secure server and is protected by firewalls. A limited number of Foundation staff has access to secure donor data. We hold our employees accountable to our privacy principles and each employee is responsible for maintaining client confidence within our organization.
